Roll the dice

From wherever you currently are, roll the dice.  The number you land on will be your number for this project.  If you roll a one, roll again. That is the number of pictures you are going to take.

Take pictures
Look around you and note the main (dice#) of colors in your surroundings.  For example, if you rolled a two, and you are in a garden, the main two colors might be green and brown).

Take pictures of those colors by filling your camera lens with a close up of something that color. You want a picture that is mostly a solid color with texture.  Write down the order of pictures taken.

Open pictures in Photoshop

After you have taken (dice #) of pictures, upload them to your computer and open them in Photoshop.

Layer the pictures into one psd file

One at a time, copy the other images into a different layer of the first picture you took.    (Go to an image, Select-> All, copy, go to your first image and paste image.  It should paste the new image to a new layer, if not, create new layer first, then paste.)

You will also need to copy the “background” image into a new layer.

Adjust the opacity of the images

For each layer, change the dropdown menu “Overlay” and Opacity to “50%”

Save as PSD, just in case!

Flatten Image

Layer -> Flatten Image

Crop Image

Imagine a grid dividing the image into 6 sections.  Select and Crop the quadrant according to your dice #.

Title the Artwork
This is your final image.  Name it after the place and the dice number.
